Privacy
This site sets no cookies, shows no ads and loads no third-party trackers. To learn how the paper pages and tutorials are read, it keeps a first-party log of visits on my own server.
What is recorded
- The pages you open, the page that sent you here, and campaign tags in the link.
- How the page was used: how far you scrolled, which sections came into view, which sliders, buttons and links you used, whether an in-browser Python cell ran, and the time the page was in active use.
- Your IP address, browser user agent and language, screen width and time zone, and an approximate location (country and city) derived from the IP address.
How long, and where
The log is stored on a server I rent in Germany and is read only by me. Full IP addresses are kept for 90 days and then shortened (the last part is removed); the approximate location and the network name are kept. Nothing is sold, shared, or combined with other sites.
Opting out
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is recorded. You can also open any page with ?notrack=1 at the end of the address; this browser will then stop sending anything (use ?notrack=0 to undo).
Your rights
To see or delete what was recorded about your visits, write to costa@lisn.fr with the approximate date and time of the visit. You may also contact the CNIL.
